Peratusan keluar mengundi juga agak tinggi 75.72 peratus dengan undi rosak berjumlah 707 undi. Pada pilihan raya 2004, Tan meraih majoriti besar iaitu 17,527 undi.
Komposisi pengundi terdiri dari Melayu (52.73 %); Cina (39.47%); India (7.17%) dan lain-lain (0.61%).
