Dulu, satu-satunya negeri yang Pesurujaya PAS dari kalangan muslimat ialah Johor. Namanya Khadijah Sidek. Dia daripada kaum ibu Umno asalnya, sertai PAS dan diberi kepercayaan memimpin PAS Johor. Setakat ini, tiada Pesuruhjaya dilantik dari kalangan muslimat selepas beliau.
Khadijah pernah memenangi Parlimen Dungun, Terengganu mewakili PAS. Beliau juga pernah menjadi Ketua Dewan Muslimat PAS Pusat. Bagaimanapun, akhirnya beliau meninggalkan PAS.
Kini, seorang lagi muslimat PAS Johor diangkat. Inilah kali pertama, PAS meletakkan calon muslimat, dalam sebuah Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK). Tahniah Cikgu Normala anak Sudirman yang telah diberi kepercayaan tegar pimpinan semua peringkat untuk membawa obor islam di Tenang.
Naib Ketua Dewan Muslimat PAS Johor, Normala Sudirman (gambar) diumumkan sebagai calon PAS mewakili Pakatan Rakyat untuk bertanding dalam pilihan raya kecil Dewan Undangan Negeri (Dun) Tenang, 30 Januari ini.
Pengumuman itu dibuat Presiden PAS, Datuk Seri Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang di majlis pengisytiharan calon di Dataran Wayang Pacak, dekat sini, malam ini. Normala, 38 merupakan seorang guru lulusan Maktab Tuanku Bainun, Pulau Pinang sebelum meletakkan jawatan pada akhir 2010 kerana mahu menumpukan sepenuh masa kepada tugas parti.
Beliau yang dilahirkan di Kampung Serom 3, Muar Johor ini merupakan anak sulung daripada lima orang adik beradik. Bapanya, Sudirman Suratman merupakan bekas ketua peserta Felcra dan juga pengerusi koperasi Felcra Sekijang manakala ibunya Mukmini Yahya juga merupakan peneroka Felcra.
Beliau yang mesra di kalangan penduduk setempat dengan panggilan Cikgu Mala, mendirikan rumah tangga dengan Makrof Abd Mutalib dan mempunyai tiga orang anak. Normala mula bergiat aktif dalam PAS selepas tamat pengajian di maktab pada tahun 1997.
Pada tahun 2000 beliau dilantik sebagai Ketua Dewan Muslimat PAS Labis. Selain Ketua Muslimat Johor, beliau juga merupakan Exco Pendidikan Dewan Muslimat PAS Pusat. Kini beliau menumpukan kepada usaha membantu masyarakat Labis setelah dipertanggungjawabkan sebagai penyelia pusat aduan rakyat Dun Tenang.
Turut hadir di majlis tersebut ialah Naib Presiden PAS, Salahuddin Ayub, Setiausaha Agung PAS, Datuk Mustafa Ali, Presiden PKR, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Penasihat DAP, Lim Kit Siang, Pesuruhjaya PAS Johor, Datuk Dr Mahfodz Mohamad, Ketua Muslimat PAS Pusat, Nuridah Salleh, Ketua Wanita PKR, Zuraida Kamarudin, Ketua Wanita DAP, Chong Eng dan beberapa pimpinan Pakatan Rakyat yang lain.
