PEGUAM muda PAS, Hanifa Maidin pula dijangka akan diturunkan ke Kuala Kedah, kata satu sumber dari Kedah.
Selagi ia belum diistiharkan, sumber ini dipegang sebagai desas-desus politik, menjelang hari penamaan calon 24 Februari 2008.
Hanifa disebut-sebut bakal bertanding di Parlimen Lembah Pantai sebelum ini dan namanya juga dikhabarkan bakal calon yang akan berentap di Parlimen Padang Terap.
Namun perkembangan muktahir, setelah Parlimen Lembah Pantai gagal dirampas oleh PAS, Hanifa dikatakan akan diturunkan buat kali pertama di luar gelanggangnya negeri Johor Darul Takzim.
Mohd Hanifa adalah Pengerusi Lajnah Undang-Undang PAS Pusat yang aktif membela nasib masyarakat tertindas di negara ini. Beliau pernah menjadi Ketua Penerangan Dewan Pemuda PAS Pusat.
